Game 14 [L]

These past 2 weeks of baseball has had a little of everything and a lot of ups and downs. Our game on September 1st, against our nemesis the Royals, was a tough one. Early on, in the first 3 innings we were right there with them in hits and runs. Then from the 4th inning on, the wheels fell off. We were playing on a very humid evening with a humidex in the upper 30's and I think the heat got the better of us. We were still hitting the ball well, but their defence shut us down and our defence struggled in a big way. The Royals, ended up getting multiple 5 run innings on us in the latter half of the game. We ended up losing 23-5. Next week, we play the Phillies, in our final regular season game. Then we play the Year End Tournament, on Saturday September 12th. We are building towards the Year End Tournament, and I am confident we will finish strong.
