Game 9 [L]

This Tuesday, your Crusaders faced off against the Royals in the 3rd game, of the second half of the season. We had to overcome some obstacles as we were missing 5 of our regulars. Unfortunately, we weren't able to fill all the missing spots with spares and had to play one player short in the field.  After getting behind 11-1 after 3 innings, and nothing going right, it would have been easy to throw in the towel. However, in typical Crusaders fashion, we clawed our way back to 11-7.  Unfortunately, in the end they scored 7 runs in the last 2 innings and we lost 18-7.  I'm proud of the never give up attitude our team displayed. We will pick ourselves up and live to fight another day. Next week we play the Phillies. See you then!
