Game 10 [L]

Today, your Crusaders played the Phillies. Unfortunately, our play at times looked like something from a Bad News Bears movie from the 80's. Anything that could have gone wrong this day, went wrong for us on and off the field. We were missing some key players, including 2 Pitchers and 1 Outfielder, due to a last minute injury.  Also, one of our Outfielders was stuck out of town due to traffic and another had flight delays that prevented him from playing too. All totalled, 4 of our regular men were not able to play. Thank you to Amy and Jonathan, for filling in at pitching on short notice. In the end we lost 17-4, and have lost 3 in a row. After the game, about half the team hung out and had some ice cream and put the game behind us. It can only get better from here. Next week we play the Phoenix, at 8pm. Talk to you next week, with hopefully some good news.
